Zerg v Tank
by Chax424 | 23/07/2010 02:33:55![]() I have seen a lot of games were Zerg are just eaten alive by tanks, and heard all the Terran mech is OP business, even had some doubts about ZvT myself, but, before beta went down, I have had luck using early drop and nydus tech v tanks to get them out of position and hit where the terran is unprotected. I am going to say it, you can quote me on it, here it goes: I don't think mech is OP v Zerg, I just think Zerg have been playing against it wrong. If an army, any army minus an Immortal heavy army, runs up against a fortified tank spot, they will get eaten alive. Splat. This is especially the case if your army is lings, Roaches and Hydras. Attacking tanks on high ground, which many maps offer (Lost Temple, Steps of War, Desert Oasis, etc...) is suicide for any ground army. When the game comes back up I am going to hit this tactic hard, and wanted to throw the idea out there to other Zerg could do it too... and so people could critique the idea. Lets stick it to those Terran mech-ers. [ Post edited by Chax424 ] Humanity will previal, no matter the cost. |

If a foe is heavily invested in a particular unit or strategy, then that can mean that there might also be weaknesses to exploit, such as poor mobility or vulnerability to a specific unit or attack type. I’m glad that you’re considering new approaches though – applying creativity can be amongst the best ways to crack tough armor. Of course, while StarCraft II will be released very, very soon, that doesn’t mean that we’ll stop listening to feedback. On the contrary, you can expect that we’ll be paying very close attention, and that we are prepared to make adjustments as they prove necessary. The coming months will surely be very interesting. I look forward to seeing how battles unfold as the competitive field receives an injection of new players and approaches. |
