When will barrier be nerfed?
by Penguinjizz | 01/04/2010 11:14:54![]() As a protoss, I almost LAUGH when a zerg fast expands. I get 8 sentries or so, then send them out. With the support of a few stalkers, I win. Permanent barrier at my enemies choke point = gg. Barriers never stopm ever. Too good, game has become boring for me :( So, I know for a FACT that blizzard will nerf barrier, but the question is, how? Will it be a minor tweak, or will they completely rework it? Keep in mind, barrier is a very fun and versatile spell, and "pros" are able to use it masterfully. None of these proposed nerfs will change any of that. A. Increase cost to 75 energy B. Require it to be researched (100/100 or 150/150) C. Make it destructible. 200hp or so (my favorite). D. Smaller radius. E. Cause it to slow units instead. F. A "call down" time before the barrier actually plants. G. A cool down on the spell itself. H. Two barriers cannot stack, allowing players to squeeze through if the protoss isn't refreshing them. I. No longer allow barriers to be casted on top of units. I mean seriously, it doesn't even make sense the way that works. VOTE NOW! |
by Kapeselus | 02/04/2010 11:30:07![]() I personally don't have a problem with Force Field. I play Random, though my favourite race is Zerg and I think that with Spine Crawlers buffed a little bit it is pretty easy to defend against a fast Sentry/Zealot push and you have lots of options to harass your opponent with Zerglings in the meantime, while getting a Hydra tech. Everyone is still learning how to play the game properly and while there are a few well-timed strategies out there I don't think there any build orders that cannot be countered. As for later game don't make the mistake of just getting 1-2 expansions and then waiting for your opponent to attack you and try playing more creatively. In the end to win a high % of games you need scouting, harassment and you need to adjust constantly. What do you think about this? RTS Community Team Blizzard Europe |
