Today, I had some latency issues with my internet connection and had to use windows task manager to close Starcraft: Broodwar. When I went to log back in, and for the last 3 hours now, I cannot log into US East. I have been able to log into all the other reals: US West, Asia, Europe, but when I log into US East it just simply sends me back to the server selection screen.

I do not receive a message or anything to let me know that CD-Key is still in use, or latency is too high. I know I have alot of latency issues because I am in Iraq using a satelite internet connection that is shared by all of the other soldiers here. Please, I would like to log back in and chat with some pals of mine, if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

I am using windows vista, but I run the game as administrator, and again I have no issues connecting to any of the other realms. Thanks in advance to your replies and assistance.


Edited: Changed title to more appropriately reflect the issue. After reading other posts it sounds as though I have been banned but I cannot figure out why. I use no bots, no 3rd pary products, I don't even have the ability to play the game online (except on RARE ocassions). I have no idea what's going on, please provide some assistance.

Your connection has been temporarily restricted from Battle.net. This restriction is realm-specific and can last up to 2 weeks.

It can happen for any of the following reasons:
- Using an invalid CD key
- Rapidly connecting and disconnecting to Battle.net
- Creating or joining numerous games within a short time period such as "Magic finding" or "Baal runs"
- By the use of "add-on programs"
- Chat channel abuse
- Failed login attempts
- In game latency caused by excessive spell effects

We are unable to lift these restrictions early or tell exactly why the restriction was placed on your connection.
