Unable to connect to all battlenet servers
by Jobenito | 22/10/2009 16:25:32![]() Hi, i have played warcraft 3 for a long time without having problems but i currently have got a ridiculous problem which is very tiring. I have got 2 warcrafts games : One (1.24x) which can connect on battlenet and play with lasted released patch downloaded directly from battlenet Another one (1.21b) which allows me to play with my friends on LANs or from hamachi (VPN). They don't play on battlenet, so they don't want to reinstall their game each time. All worked perfectly until i clicked on battlenet buttom instead of LAN buttom with my 1.21b version (i repeat not intentionally) yesterday. I had got an error (Unable To Connect To Battlenet... ) I was not worried about it because it is normal (maybe this kind of error not) but when i decided to connect on battlenet with the 1.24 i had got the same error !!! (it occured with northrend server) The good point was that i could connect to the third other servers. I was a little confused... I try connect on the third server with the warcraft 1.21b (got same error) to try if i could join them with the 1.24x anyway but i got the same error, all servers become unreachable ... I try all solutions i had in mind (reinstall pc, formating, delete all warcraft occurrences in registery, try many patches, backup the 1.21b warcraft not to disturb the first ...) I even try WC3InstallPath registery file and BnetDiagTool you shared but nothing changed. BnetDiagTool told me that all servers were reachable and that i was not momentaly banish : +++ Begin connection test with all servers on europe.battle.net +++ Begin hostname resolution on europe.battle.net Querying information about the host... Hostname successfully resolved, displaying results... 213.248.106.65 213.248.106.66 213.248.106.204 213.248.106.2 213.248.106.68 213.248.106.67 213.248.106.201 213.248.106.202 +++ Begin connection test with Battle.net server 213.248.106.65 Creating socket... Binding socket to any available address... Placing socket into asynchronous mode... Initiating connection... Attempting to establish a connection with the server... Connection established with the server, determining if user is banned... Connection established! Shutting down connection... Closing connection... I don't know what to do next ... P.S : i even rebooted my freebox and checked windows and freebox parameters ... i found nothing wrong. Windows firewall is always disabled since using hamachi ( my AVG antivirus free don't boast firewall feature too) I will try to install it directly on my netbook ... maybe it would work. P.S.2 : i am french, if someone speaks french i should explain it easily but i think i was clear enough to find a solution ... Thanking you in anticipation [ Post edited by Jobenito ] |

It can happen for any of the following reasons: - Using an invalid CD key - Rapidly connecting and disconnecting to Battle.net - Creating or joining numerous games within a short time period such as "Magic finding" or "Baal runs" - By the use of "add-on programs" - Chat channel abuse - Failed login attempts - In game latency caused by excessive spell effects We are unable to lift these restrictions early or tell exactly why the restriction was placed on your connection.
