After getting Starcraft installed on my new computer and getting reacquainted with the game I decided its time to have a one on one with a friend.

I run the update and the application restarts as promised and I try to enter battlenet again and apparently I need to install upgrade once again. Again, I run the upgrade and this time it's lighting fast... the application restarts and says :

STORM_ERROR_REQUIRES_UPGRADE

OK

---

And I'm at the point where I'm just gonna stick to playing the campaigns and become a scarred hermit :P

If it matters I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate

You might want to try the registry keys to fix the color:

Windows Vista/7 32-bit for StarCraft 1.16 - http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/starcraft/scbw116_x86.reg
Windows Vista/7 64-bit for StarCraft 1.16 - http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/starcraft/scbw116_x64.reg

Apply it and you won't have to jump into weird hoops for the most part.
