Hi

I just bought the StarCraft Battlechest and I'm trying to log on StarCraft battle.net on my main computer however I get this message everytime I try to log on...

"Battlenet was unable to properly indentify your application version. Please uninstall and then re-install the application. If the problem persists, then you may have a computer virus. For more information on detecting and removing this virus you may contact us by email at support@blizzard.com"

When that happened I installed StarCraft on my other computer and it worked, it updated and everything...

I tried reinstalling, and I just checked for viruses nothing at all...

Here is my Battle Net log...
5/8 19:11:26.515 Connecting to Battle.net...
5/8 19:11:26.593 Trying to load ws2_32.dll

5/8 19:11:44.781 Disconnecting from server

Is there something wrong with my computer?

I have Windows XP with Dell XPS 700

If you need more information please tell me. I would like to get SC running on my main comp ASAP!

Thanks for listening!

Here's the latest Win7 drivers for your video card:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_winvista_32bit_197.45_whql.html

If that doesn't work, try uninstalling Kaspersky temporarily or make sure that the firewall in the Internet Protection suite is configured to allow connections on ports 6112-6119.

All knowledge is worth having.
