Starcraft 2 has stopped working
by Roarick.roarick | 11/03/2010 02:11:42![]() I know i've seen posts on this problem but I haven't found a solution. Everytime I queue up for a game I get about 5-10 minutes in then the game freezes and a "You were dropped!" message pops up and starcraft 2 crashes. ---------------- System Information ---------------- Time of this report: 3/10/2010, 20:10:22 Machine name: JARON-PC Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 32-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_gdr.09120 Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Dell Inc. by Charlesps | 11/03/2010 03:07:40![]() Hello Roarick Laptops often have settings that can underclock the hardware. Make sure you have all power saving features turned off and that you are playing while connected to an external power source. Laptops also tend to run hot. To reduce the chances of overheating be sure the vents for the laptop are clear, that you are on a hard flat surface or one designed for laptops, and that you are in a well ventilated area. Some systems may reach high temperatures and overheating conditions while running StarCraft II. This is mainly due to the video card rendering the screens at full speed. As a workaround, there are two lines that you can add to your Documents\StarCraft II Beta\variables.txt file to limit this behavior. Frameratecapglue Frameratecap=60 The frameratecapglue controls the framerate at the menu screens. The frameratecap controls the framerate on all other screens. You may adjust these numbers to your liking. Technical support needs your feedback. Please take the time to fill out a survey using the link below and tell me how I am doing: https:// |
