I recently acquired a SCII Beta and have installed/updated it to its most recent status. Now the problem arises. Whenever I type in both my battle.net account name and password and hit log in, Windows says that Starcraft has stopped working and closes it immediately.

What can I do to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like something, like a firewall or security software, is blocking you from logging on. The battle.net.dll module is for that part of the login phase. Please check all security and firewall software and let both StarCraft II.exe and SC2Switcher.exe through.
