Router issues please help

I live in a house at college and we have 2 routers each with its own modem. The one I used to use is farther away from my room so I switched to the closer one and now I cant connect to battle.net anymore. The old router was a linksys while the new one is a net gear. I have no problem connecting to the internet and everything other than battlenet works fine. I've read that port fowarding is a problem sometimes but since there are other people using this router i didnt want to mess with that. The message I get from Bnet is that I cant connect to the server and I may be trying to connect to one not in use. Also I ran that Bnet tool and it had no problem connecting to Battle.net, its just the game and Im thinking the router may not know where to send the packets but I thought that packet fowarding problems would only prevent me from hosting a game. Any help would be really appreciated, Id hate to have to switch networks everytime I played online.

Hi, Kxr1der,

Firewalls can definitely cause problems connecting. I would suggest visiting www.portforward.com and finding the model number of your router. That way you can set up the firewall properly.

Are you running any security software on your system?
The universe is already insane. Anything else would be redundant.

Well, go ahead and set up the new router and let me know if it works.
