After running a malware scan and deleting all the listed infections, I had to reinstall Sc2 because it was no longer properly loading(probably has something to do with the false positive listed in the know issues post). I downloaded a fresh copy and installed. Once the install is done, it holds me at the patching window for a few seconds and then the "PLAY" button lights up without patching, if I hit play it loads an older version of SC2. Whenever I start SC2, it loads this same version. I have tried reinstalling twice and have had the same result. I'm not sure what my next move is.

Are you on Windows Vista or 7? If so can you try right clicking on the exe for the game and choosing run as administrator?

Can you try closing out background programs?

Selective Startup:

Hold the Windows key on your keyboard and press the letter 'R'. In the Run field type "msconfig" and hit Enter.
In the General tab:

1. Choose Selective Startup
2. Disable (uncheck) Load startup items
3. Click OK and Reboot

Note: Using selective startup may close needed software, firewalls or other security software. To re-enable them again, follow the above instructions and recheck "Load startup items".
