by Lucytr | 26/08/2009 17:37:45![]() Hi, Ninpou, Can you tell us more information about your computer? You can find most of the information if you go to Start -> Run -> type dxdiag and press Enter. I'll need the following info: System tab Operating system: Processor: Memory: DirectX Version: Display tab Name: Version: Date: DDI Version: All knowledge is worth having. by Lucytr | 26/08/2009 18:02:43![]() Thanks, Ninpou. I have a few recommendations. 1. Update your OS. Vista got Service Pack 2 earlier this summer. I would strongly recommend updating. 2. Make sure you're running WC3 as administrator. Just right-click the icon and choose "Run as Administrator." 3. Update your video driver. I'm not sure if it's even related to the problem, but it's a good idea to keep drivers updated anyway. by Lucytr | 28/08/2009 00:01:50![]() Let's try this: 1. Download the 1.24b patch from here: http://w 2. Put the computer into Safe Mode and install the patch. How to enter Safe Mode: - Shut the computer down completely and turn off its power. - Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on. - The computer begins processing a set of instructions known as the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS). What is displayed depends on the BIOS manufacturer. Some computers display a progress bar that refers to the word BIOS, while others may not display any indication that this process is happening. - As soon as the BIOS has finished loading, begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard. Continue to do so until the Windows Advanced Options menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again. - Using the arrow keys on the keyboard, scroll to and select the Safe mode menu item, and then press Enter. The computer should boot in Safe Mode.
