It's more sequential, but, when hearing or reading a date it's actually more logically information driven to the way we speak dates to have MM-DD-YY. In DD-MM-YYYY format you have to work to piece the information together. Yeah the party is on 5- "5 what? I have to wait for the next bit of info to give this any context." 11 "Oh ok, November. November 5th." 2010 "Ok, November 5th 2010." In MM-DD-YYYY format it translates directly to the way dates are spoken (and thus thought of). Ooooooh. I wasn't justifying anything, I was dropping science on Rainfire for why (at least I think) MM-DD-YY makes more sense since he said DD-MM-YY is more logical. |
