Nydus Canal
by Frokusblakah.ta | 08/03/2010 23:54:38![]() How many people use this? A lot of the games I've won so far have been using the canal. I play semi-defense until I get the canal, using my army to stop rushes, then I dig into their base. I usually send my first overlord and skirt around their base and hide it somewhere close by, then turn it into an overseer and so I can move in quickly and park it behind their resources and tunnel in. Most people don't seem to notice until I'm killing all their workers. I hope I don't get flamed, I'm just curious as to how many other Zerg players have employed this, and how well does this work? Does it keeping working or do people get a lot better at watching for the shuffling dirt that revealed the canal shortly before it bursts from the ground? I'm only at silver level for 1vs1 so I'm no pro, and I just got my beta a few days ago, so otherwise helpful tips are appreciated! [ Post edited by Frokusblakah.tails ] |

I've seen this tactic used quite a bit. Unfortunately, I'm usually on the receiving end of the onslaught that ensues. I'd say (just from my own experience here) that this is a fairly common Zerg tactic and it's also pretty effective against my poor Terran SCVs. Hmm, or I've just been playing against you all this time. Your ID does seem familiar...
