So yeah, I cant see any projectile fire or anything, no effects just models and textures, and it kind of weird after watching all these vids with cool explosion effects. Is it because of the beta or is my video card?

The 4670 shouldn't have any troubles with that. Can you tell us more information about your computer? You can find most of the information if you go to Start -> Run -> dxdiag (or on Windows Vista/7, Windows Key + R -> dxdiag)

There were some reports where certain shader settings can disable that. I just got on the forums about an hour ago so I'm still playing catchup. What if you set your shaders to medium? Will you see them? Your video drivers are a bit out of date so you'll want to see if you can get Catalyst 10.2
