Necromancer.

I'm sure many fans have argued the Necromancer as being involved in the new game...
I'd like to expand on that argument...

The Necromancer is undeniably one of the most important classes involved in Sanctuary in concern with actual lore and history. For those who've read the Sin War Trilogy have only been further exposed to their importance and role on Sanctuary. Mendeln anyone?
For those unfamiliar with novels, a quick crash course is that Necromancers, or Priests of Rathma, are defenders of the balance. They believe (and later this is shown in book 2 of the Sin War) that the world is upon the back of the dragon Trag'Oul. When the balance of Sanctuary is threatened, they take it upon themselves to battle either the High Heavens or Burning Hells.
SO, where did they go? It seems a bit unusual that under such a new threat that Diablo 3's story will present, that the channelers of the undead would simply be absent to assist...

To be fair, the same could be said for the paladin class, in that the Church of Zakarum also plays into the lore... the paladin in Diablo 2 was a renegade paladin which separated itself from the Church when the inquisition began... they too believe in defending the people of Sanctuary through justice...
SOOO, again, where did they go?
