[MAC]Help with blank cinematics in Warcraft 3
by Crapmasterg | 01/07/2010 08:21:58![]() Just got WC3 and installed it on my Mac. The problem I'm having is the cinematic sequences are blacked out. I get audio and subtitles during the sequences, but no video at all. The game itself runs great. I've looked for a bit and haven't been able to find a solution for this on a Mac. Any advice? To further troubleshoot your issue, please send a complete Apple System Profiler report for your system, a screen shot of the error if possible, and any error logs the game may have generated to macsupport@blizza Apple System Profiler Application: The Apple System Profiler is a tool Apple includes with the Mac OS. In Mac OS X, the program is in the Utilities folder, which is in the Applications folder on your hard drive. To generate a report from the Apple System Profiler application, select the Save As item in the File menu. In older versions of Apple System Profiler, you may first have to select the New item in the File menu and be sure to check the box for "Devices and Volumes". Please be sure to save the file as an .spx. Screen Shots: The Finder Screen shot option works in all the versions of the Mac OS our games support, including the versions of Mac OS X our games support. To take a screen shot, hold down the Command Shift and 3 keys on the keyboard until you hear the shutter click sound. The screen shot file will appear on the Desktop. Error Logs: Error logs can be generated in a number of places, depending on which game you are running, and what OS version you are using. With the Mac OS X versions of our games, there are application crash logs will appear in the ~/Library/Logs/ folder. These are generated by the debugger, and should be included in addition to any error log files in the game folder. The error logs the games generate should appear in Logs folders in the "...Files" folders which are inside the game folders. For example: with StarCraft or Brood War, the error logs would be stored in the Logs folder inside the StarCraft Logs folder which is in the StarCraft Files folder on your hard drive. Note: If there is no "Files" folder inside your game folder, look for the Logs folder inside the game folder itself. All knowledge is worth having.
