Well i have been playing on d2 for the past year on and off but my brother has lost all my cds and i cant install d2 onto my new pc, is there a service that blizzard offers to give people a direct download for these cd's

Go to the Blizzard Store:
http://www.blizzard.com/store/index.xml

Register a Battle.net account (link on the upper right)

Under the account section click on Add a Game

Enter The CD-Key for the game.

This will allow you to download the client software for the game.

You will need to register both Diablo II and Lord of Destruction if you plan on installing LoD.

You will need to use the new Key provided when you register the CD-Key.

If you need to acce4ss this Key click on the Manage Game button under the game.

Verify you are using an Administrator account.

In order to set the downloader as Administrator Mode with Windows Vista, please follow the steps below:

1. Right click on the Blizzard Downloader file.
2. Select "Run as Administrator"
