Initial placement rounds. Always enough?

So these placement rounds. I'm curious how Blizzard plans those out. Will you face someone else that needs placing? Is there always going to be someone in such a position looking at the same time? If there isn't enough, will they possible pit you against someone in the lowest divisions of the copper league? Or perhaps they will pit you against computers of varying degrees of skill.

Thoughts?

Q u o t e:
This ladder is very confusing.

I crashed out of 3 or 4 of my placement rounds, so I am not in platinum. How will I get back to platinum when Blizzard fixes SC2 so it doesn't crash?

Keep winning :)

In my opinion it's too early to evaluate the ladder system. Sure, you can see the rough idea behind it, but when it comes to evaluate it... I think this isn't the ideal situation.

I know there's lot of discussions regarding divisions and matchmaking, but most of the negative feedback I read was referring to the matchmaking system not working properly, thus pairing players with different skill levels, especially during the ranking matches.
This is mostly due to the number of players in the Beta and I'm confident that this issue will solve itself during release.

About being moved to different divisions and/or ladders: what you're seeing now in the Beta isn't what you will get in release. Movements will occur differently and periodically, you will finally have a reason to be in those top spots of your division: don't forget that we also have a "Pro" ladder waiting for you, even if it's not there yet!

I understand your questions and I'm pretty sure that more information will be released in the future, just be patient: Battle.Net is supposed to work at its best with a large number of players and this is why it's still early to rate it :)
