I have just realized how terrible my video card is and understand specs ARE a factor in the opt in process.

I suppose my question is, can any of you blues tell me specifics on what factors go into the opt in process, like "if one has already opted in then updates his/ her video card, does that improve his/ her chances of getting a beta key?" or "does opting in earlier improve ones chances of getting a beta key?"

It does not matter when you opted in, if you get a new graphics card, just update your specs and then when the time for the next wave comes, the lucky ones will be chosen from all opt-ins at that time that meet the requirements we are looking for for that specific wave.
