I don't doubt that the figure is somewhere close to accurate. I think it's probably just more likely that most are not playing the same games that you and I might be playing so it's hard to rationalize. You have to consider what falls under "games" and that the vast majority are not high-end-system-requirement FPS'. Factor in browser based games, cell phone games, free to play, etc. I don't doubt 40% is too far off. Maybe you don't even have to look that far, take World of Warcraft even. A lot of women are playing.

Hopefully some of them are into zombie guts. ;)
