So I received my gems in the mail today for the Diablo display case.

The concept behind this, is that each gem is a shard of the smashed soulstones.(red for diablo, blue for mephisto, yellow for baal)
I'm making this because I've always wanted to bring some of the Diablo life into reality. Since the soulstone lore is probably history now in Diablo 3, I thought this would be a neat tribute to Diablo 2 and what not. Hopefully I'll be able to do this right and have exceptional quality and design put into the project. Down to the most durable hinges, the sexiest locks, the clearest glass, and the smoothest varnish.
I want people who look at the gems be reminded of the Three Prime Evils. I want the case to draw an important feeling to the gems/shards; that these were part of something great, something evil, and now here they are, idle and vulnerable, from greatness came destruction.

So the general idea is that there will be warm white (not pure white bright because i have a feeling the intensity will overpower their detail and colour) LED's behind them, which each gem will be laid into wood lined with some kind of fuzzy stuff.
and there will be a lid for the case which is wood frame and glass viewing window. Yup! So I'll be getting wood and supplies soon - I hope - and will start figuring out how to craft this thing.

Wish I had a horadric cube right about now...
