I have played several games on a friends account and I have to say that game speed is too fast. It is possible to macro (barely) but definitely not possible to micro. Sure Asians and wannabe Asians may think it is fine but 90% of the people come release will be normal people who are not that fast.

I suggest changing the ladder speed to fast instead of fastest. Or set it too fast for copper/bronze and fastest for the higher leagues.

We can always evaluate the game speed settings as testing continues. With that said, we definitely believe an important part of StarCraft II gameplay is the immediate sense of urgency and danger. We like having rush strategies possible that could result in a very quick win, but could also be very risky if properly countered. Granted, slowing down the game speed alone won't completely eliminate this element, but we do want to make sure that every move you make from the moment a match begins could determine the outcome of the match, and we want those decisions to be made under a strong sense of pressure.
