Hello, I am aware that people are experiencing problems with the latest nvidia drivers....But, I have not seen any post with my exact issue. When I play a game its usually about id say 15-20 mins in the game (if that) then when I send or move units to attack the enemies base. My game suddenly crashes, my screen goes black and makes like an m60 machine gun noise and I am forced to shutdown and restart my computer.

I've tried rollback to my old drivers, it seemed to have worked......however..... A new problem occurs where my base buildings or the opponent's base "flickers". Its kinda like it appears and disappears super fast. So basically I said this aint going to work and im back to the latest drivers of nvidia.

I'm really unsure of where to go from here, and im very upset from this whole ordeal. I kinda blame my self for updating to the latest drivers, but I havnt updated in like 3 months. So I figured it would be a good thing , but turned out to back fire on me. Could someone please help me on my situation? I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello Landwarrior

It is my understanding that the fan controls may not be working properly with the latest drivers. As such cards may start running hot and underclocking or crashing when they are put under a load.

One thing that might get a person by this is using a third party fan controller.

There are also two lines that you can add to your Documents\StarCraft II Beta\variables.txt file to limit the load on the card.

Frameratecapglue=30
Frameratecap=60

The frameratecapglue controls the framerate at the menu screens. The frameratecap controls the framerate on all other screens. You may adjust these numbers to your liking.

It is my understanding that they took the problematic drivers off of their website.

It looks like the most recent ones you can download are the 196.21 which are the ones we have linked in the sticky at the top of the forum:
Low FPS - NVIDIA 196.75 drivers http://forums.battle.net/thread.html?topicId=23425378481&sid=5000
