Galaxy Editor Black Screen
by Venici.interus | 28/04/2010 02:20:18![]() I think this is the right forum, but maybe it belongs in bug reports or just the map editor forum. Anyway, I'm having an issue where it seems like the textures for the main screen aren't loading at all. It's just solid black where the ground, units, everything, should be. Nothing shows up when I place a unit, change the terrain, or create a new map. I've switched almost all the options in View back and forth, adjusted the graphics slightly(although they were already at minimum, so I actually turned them up), reset my computer, and even reinstalled SC2. I have Nvidia 7900 graphics cards if that matters. The map is actually there, I just can't see it. Any changes I make show up in the minimap, and the dash-circle that shows up when I alter terrain actually follows the layout. What I mean is that I can see the yellow dashes for some reason(and the green selector box too, but not the circles of selected units) and it will deform to the terrain underneath it. It's just that everything underneath it is completely invisible. [ Post edited by Venici.interus ] |
by Charlesps | 28/04/2010 02:59:30![]() Hello Venici Technically the editor is not supported but let's see if we can figure out what is going on. Can you also post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Press the Windows Key and R Type in: dxdiag Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste the data from the dxdiag file into your reply. by Charlesps | 28/04/2010 03:30:03![]() The whole thing is fine. We know where to look int the wall of text besides if I need to go back to other parts later it is all there. My guess is it is going to be the drivers that are closing in on 3 years old: Driver Date/Size: 9/17/2007 09:07:00, 4988928 bytes The latest drivers have been less than stable with our game but the 196.21 seem to be pretty good. They are form about mid January of this year and can be found here: http://w Technical support needs your feedback. by Charlesps | 28/04/2010 04:23:45![]() Thanks for the update. Like I said unsupported but we will give it a try when we are asked about an issue along these lines and outdated drivers made a lot of sense for this issue. Let us know if you have any other problems. Good luck! Technical support needs your feedback. Please take the time to fill out a survey using the link below and tell me how I am doing: https:// |
