I know that I do not like being one shotted. Please answer the question above in the title of this thread.

The archivist takes a bit more finesse in the way it's played than other classes, to be sure. You definitely can't take as much damage as other classes (ie any), but you do have some unique tools at your disposal to keep from being hit. The path of an archivist player is going to be much different than other classes though, and the simple truth is you will in fact probably die a lot more. That's part of the class. But you're also going to spend a lot more time reading through text, learning about the story and world, and then being tested on that knowledge. Something other classes won't get to do.

It's a different game experience, but it's something that every fan we've talked to has been dying to have be a part of the Diablo franchise. Sometimes you don't want to deal with powerful characters, and spells, and items - sometimes you just want to learn, and I think that's what the archivist accomplishes. You can just sit down and play a character in a game that's reading books. It's a really exciting approach for a character class and we think is going to offer a lot of variety.
