Disconnect causes Freezing

Each time I disconnect, and click the buttons to get to "Quit Game" I'll hit the last button, and instead of sending me out back to b.net 2.0, the Game utterly freezes everything. At which point I must push the power button on my computer to tell it to restart. Lucky for me Firefox is open, and asks if I want to save or close my tabs, then I get back into game after my internet comes back.

No commands work besides the power button on my tower to get me out of the frozen state. If I wasn't running any other programs to ask confirmation of closing down, win7 would probably restart itself.

Hoping this gets fixed.

Hello Bronwk

Windowed mode would probably allow it to free the lock up more easily.

Can you try launching the game by right clicking on the short cut and choosing run as administrator and see if the issues still occur?

Can you also post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool:

Press the Windows Key and R
Type in: dxdiag
Hit Enter or OK

Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste the data from the dxdiag file into your reply.

What happens if you launch the game by right clicking the short cut and choosing run as administrator?

There are also newer drivers for your video card located here:

Some systems may reach high temperatures and overheating conditions while running StarCraft II. This is mainly due to the video card rendering the screens at full speed. As a workaround, there are two lines that you can add to your Documents\StarCraft II Beta\variables.txt file to limit this behavior.

Frameratecapglue=30
Frameratecap=60

The frameratecapglue controls the framerate at the menu screens. The frameratecap controls the framerate on all other screens. You may adjust these numbers to your liking.
