D2 expansion install
by Kurt2fatty | 06/11/2009 20:04:07![]() I installed D2 a couple days ago with my D2 discs and everything worked fine and now decided to digitally download the expansion. While installing it told me to insert D2 play disc so I did. Upon doing this the installation stops at 13% everytime. I went online and found that I should copy the the D2mus.mpq file to diablo 2 folder. The problem now is the file wont copy. I have done everything I have found online that I am supposed to do, but it still wont work. HELP!!!!!! |
by Lucytr | 07/11/2009 00:16:21![]() Hi, Kurt2fatty Your installation methods don't match. You'll need to remove your disc copy of D2 and download it from our website. If you are using a digital download version of our Battle.net games such as Diablo II, you will not be able to use a CD version of the Diablo II-Lord of Destruction to install the expansion. Both the original and expansion versions of any Battle.net game will have to be the digital download versions, or CD versions to install together successfully. To work around this however, if you have a CD version of a game you can freely obtain a digital downloadable version of that game by registering the CD-key of the game with your Blizzard Battle.net account at https:// Once a game is registered you will be able to download the necessary game files to install the game to your computer. As this is a new service, not all Blizzard games may be available to download immediately upon the launch of the Blizzard Store. However, more titles will gradually be made available for Digital Download over time. Orders for digital downloads cannot be canceled because they are delivered immediately upon purchase, and therefore are not eligible for refunds. If you have any further questions or concerns regarding the Digital Download option, or anything from the Blizzard Online Store, please feel free contact our Billing and Sales department by phone or email. Billing and Sales representatives are on hand to take your call Monday thru Friday between 8am and 8pm Pacific Time, at 1-800-592-5499, and you can email them directly at billing@blizzard.com All knowledge is worth having.
