Can not connect to USEast or USWest

Goodfornothing

I downloaded and bought the blizzard online version of SC and SCBW and I use windows 7. When I try to connect to USeast or USwest I get an error message saying I can not connect to the fastest server. However, I can connect to Europe and Asia. When I try the battle.net diagnostic thing It says connect.... ERROR! 0

Please help.

Hi, Goodfornothing

I'm not actually showing any restrictions on your connection, at least the one you're using to post. I would suggest starting with a DNS flush.

For XP:

1. Click Start, then Run.
2. Type in CMD
3. When the command prompt comes up type in the following in succession, all without the quotes:

"ipconfig /release" press Return
"ipconfig /renew" press Return
"ipconfig /flushdns" press Return

4. Close the DOS window and try WC3.

For Vista:

1. Click Start, then Run.
2. Type in CMD. When you see the command prompt come up, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator."
3. When the window comes up, type in the following in succession, all without the quotes:

"ipconfig /release" press Return
"ipconfig /renew" press Return
"ipconfig /flushdns" press Return

4. Close the DOS window and try WC3.

For Mac OS X:

1. Navigate to /Applications/Utilities/ and launch Terminal.
2. Copy/Paste the following:
For Leopard (10.5):
dscacheutil -flushcache
For Tiger (10.4) and Panther (10.3):
lookupd -flushcache
3. Press return.
