Bnet Product Problems

Artery.

Okay, First off I have read NUMEROUS posts on why you cannot host a game in which anyone can join. I have tried many of the solutions that have helped others and to no avail. I have tried forwarding ports through Norton AV 09 for Warcraft 3 and Starcraft and neither of the games will let me host after trying many things. I am behind a cable modem without a router and my windows firewall is off, but Norton is up. If you can help me in any way I will love you and cook you breakfast. Also, I have even tried hosting in both WC3 and SC clients with both Norton and Windows firewalls off, but did not help.

Artery.,

If you can't host, you're blocking other people from connecting to you. Anything dealing with your connection is suspect. Internet security apps, router, cable modems (they have router functions usually), firewalls, etc...

From your description, my guess would be it's the way you have Norton configured. Your cable modem also may be simply blocking the game ports.

StarCraft/Brood War: TCP and UDP Port 6112

Warcraft III: TCP Ports 6112 to 6119, unless you have changed the default in the Options/Gameplay screen for port forwarding.
