Blue Screen of Death Mid-Game
by 13lazing | 14/04/2010 01:26:57![]() My computer has recently been restarting and instantly booting itself back up in the middle of games. I had been playing for months and months without this issue and am not sure what could have caused it all of a sudden. On reboot, a desktop window reads "The system has recovered from a serious error." With an error code of: BCCode : 1000008e BCP1 : C0000005 BCP2 : AE33182B BCP3 : A6CFA70C BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 3_0 Product : 256_1 It is labeled as a blue screen error but I'd love any help troubleshooting or pinpointing the problem. I updated my video card drivers to the newest version but that hasn't helped the problem. Thanks in advance. [ Post edited by 13lazing ] |

Windows XP: Click on the "Start" button Right-click on "My Computer" and choose "Properties" Click on the "Advanced" tab Click on the "Settings" button in the "Startup and Recovery" box Uncheck the "Automatically Restart" option Click "OK" Windows Vista/7: Click on the "Start" button Right Click on "Computer" and choose "Properties" Click on the Advanced tab Locate the Startup and Recovery area and click on the Settings button. In the Startup and Recovery window, locate and uncheck the check box next to Automatically restart. Click OK in the Startup and Recovery window. Click OK in the System Properties window. Can you also post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Press the Windows Key and R Type in: dxdiag Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste the data from the dxdiag file into your reply.
