Q u o t e:
As for BOAs the problem with those is it defeats the purpose of not having stockpiles of items causing inflation in the economy..
If each player has 4 of some super duper rare unique floating on their account.. whats the point of having them bind in the first place, nobody will pay much for it.

Hrm. Elaborate/reword. Not sure I completely get what you're saying.

Q u o t e:
Eh sorry was outside talking to friend..

UNACCEPTABLE

Q u o t e:
Now, when an item which binds on equip, this helps cut down on the deflation of item prices since they are cut from the community and trade once equiped.
However, if they bind to account insted of merely the player used on.. This item now can float around the account as intended.

The problem with this is.. People will eventually stockpile these items for themselves when they find them.. say your account over a few years now has in its posession 4 or 5 enigmas..
This would likely be the same with every other player.
While you can not trade them, you still have plenty of them to use at your own whim on what ever character you feel it should be used on and are not willing to spend what you once would on the item years ago, defeating the purpose of them binding in the first place.

So my personal opinion on it is.. it should either bind to the character when used and not float around the account as a bind on account item would, or not have them bind at all, which would inevitably end up like Diablo2's economy

Totally, which is why I said "But there could be economic reasons that we don't do that."

It would probably stagnate the economy... UNLESS, there are other systems in place that could make it attractive for players to essentially destroy their BoAs. So I don't think it's without solution at least, but it could get sticky if not balanced or pulled off just right.

Anyway, we're not really seriously considering BoA items at this point in time.

come away young man where the ground is red and you need a mask to breathe. it’s been so hard but you’ll like the change if you just roll up your sleeves
