Everytime i double-click or try to open starcraft 2 icon , it shows the launcher pop-up indicating that a new patch is ready to be downloaded, But for some reason, as soon as it pops up it exits automatically. The beta patch 7 worked fine. I have my router connected , everything is fine . :S

Hello Adrian

Can you try right clicking on the executable and choosing run as administrator to see if that gets you by this?

Ok, the issue sounded like a Vista or 7 issue. XP does not have the run as admin function.

You may need to exit any programs you have running in the background

We recommend running in a selective startup if possible. When you are booting your computer in Selective Startup, please keep in mind that you are disabling every application that normally starts up with your computer. This may include firewall and security software that you would normally want to have on. After you are finished testing, you should re-enable your security software.

Selective Startup:

Hold the Windows key on your keyboard and press the letter 'R'. In the Run field type "msconfig" and hit Enter.
In the General tab:

1. Choose Selective Startup
2. Disable (uncheck) Load startup items
3. Click OK and Reboot

Note: Using selective startup may close needed software, firewalls or other security software. To re-enable them again, follow the above instructions and recheck "Load startup items". For more information about closing background applications, check our support site here: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21052

Thansk for the update.

NT would not be a supported operating system for the game so that could cause issues.

Let us know if you have an other problems.
