APM and StarCraft 2
by Nexus1g | 27/01/2010 12:30:04![]() It's a pretty known fact that the interface for StarCraft is a hamper to a person's ability to play. Current professionals can hit up to about 600 APM I think. With the new customizable interface, what do you think the new high APMs will be? Over 9000 to already get that out of the way. i7 920 @ 3.7, 6 GB RAM, NVidia GTX275, Win 7 64-bit, Samsung 2233rz. |

In SC:BW, if you had 12 Gateways and you wanted to make 12 Dragoons, you had to select a Gateway, press 'D', select another Gateway, press 'D' and so on. 12 Dragoons = 24 clicks. In StarCraft II, you select all your 12 Gateways with a click, and then press 'S' twelve times. Production will be equally split between the Gateways. 12 Stalkers = 13 clicks. Yes, you're definitely pressing less keys, that's true. RTS Community Team Blizzard Europe "May your Cocoa Puffs stay puffed and the milk that moistens them stay fresh forever" |
