A story of no real significance.
by Irushwithscvs | 18/02/2010 14:15:59![]() As beta came, we all watched as emails were being sent. Family(?), friends, people you've never seen before received these emails. You tell yourself you won't possibly be one of those people that "don't" get invited. That only happens to other people. You are wrong. You watch helplessly as hundreds, perhaps thousands, are playing and getting good at a game you won't play for weeks or months, perhaps even a year due to certain circumstances (As in not being able to play it even when the game is for sale). Depression sets in, alas, you do have countless videos, livestreams, idiots that don't know how to move their SCV, and pros that steamroll you just by joining your game lobby. And so you wait. |
by Kapeselus | 18/02/2010 14:49:29![]() We perfectly understand all the excitement generated by our latest announcement and believe us when we say that we’re as excited as you are regarding the start of the beta testing phase of StarCraft II. We can also understand the emotions of those who didn’t receive an invite to the Beta: if you’re in this group, please keep in mind these few but important things: - Be patient. This was only the first wave of invites, more and more people will get the chance to join the test in the future and you might as well be one of those people. If you haven’t done it yet, opt-in for Beta in your Battle.Net account management page! - Be proactive. Random invites are not the only way to get into beta. Keep an eye out for all the contests related to beta invites (i.e. Comic Contest!). - Be polite. There’s no need to create multiple “Give me beta plz!” threads: the only way you’re going to get a beta invite is through the processes listed before (i.e. random pick or contests). It’s a really important moment for both you and us and we’ll greatly appreciate your cooperation regarding this matter. Keep the discussions flowing, but remember to respect your fellow gamers by keeping these forums as clean as possible! If you want to post something, first check for existing threads about the matter. The search function as well as browsing through the forum will allow you to spot threads already talking about the very same topic you were going to post (i.e. background music, editor, etc.).
