by El_bourgeois | 01/08/2011 23:40:18![]() God i would not like to be in your shoes man! You're doing a great job at patiently keeping your calm at the millions of millions of (hmm how to put it gently) close minded here on the forums.... I can't believe this is the worst fan base in the world... everytime a single news come out there's a million thread of people hating on everything this game has to offer and they know NOTHING about game development. Further more they ignore every single explanation by screaming THIS IS NOT DIABLO ANYMORE... Anyways... Keep it up I love almost everything about the game especially health globes tough i dont care about AH but thats the goal to have some who use it and others not |

Everything is 3D, but the textures and ways that scenes are built are intended to give the look of a painted scene. Some games go for realism with a lot of shaders and high poly counts, that's just not our intent with the visual style. We want it to be a timeless aesthetic because we expect people are going to be playing for a long time. Looking back at cutting edge games even a few years ago and they don't tend to hold up very well, but for Diablo we want it to be as visually pleasing 10 years from now as it is the first time you play it. Even videos really don't do the beauty of the game justice. I think anyone that's sat down to play can attest to that. |

You'll be leveling your artisans, teaching them to make new items, finding higher quality runes, finding higher quality gems, combining gems, finding loot in Nightmare that doesn't drop in Normal, finding loot in Hell that doesn't drop in Nightmare, etc. and really continuing to max out use of each of the available power adjustments. Plus the need to really tighten up builds, get a good mix of skills, pick the right passives to support them, and gear out in specific directions becomes more and more important as the game gets tougher. I don't think having to become a better player and invest more in all the game systems is a "deadzone" |
