So why am i not in platinum anyways i havent played some1 in gold in like 25 games lol.. so it knows I should be matched vs. plat but doesnt actually move me up :(

I know plat is like -300 or -400 rating compared to gold so its basically matching me against the mid - high lvl plat players pretty consistantly, like if i search when any of the high ranking plat players do i match them immediately and ill match them over and over and over until i stop searching usually and let them find a game, but usually I dont mind cause its good for me as I get more points than i lose for losses anyway

Just wondering wtf the threshold for moving up is cause I know its in there and ppl have switched lol

but yeah playing all platinum players and being stuck in gold is el lame

by - i mean its subtracting from my rating to match plat players, as when i match plat players, alot of times im actually "favored" not even just slightly...

So no, this is not true at all...

i beat a rank 1 plat yesterday and i was favored and i only gained 6 points for it, was ridiculous considering im stuck in gold that i should be favored by such a large amount vs. a rank 1 plat player to gain nearly nothing from winning

And yes for the guy who said "remember this is beta", this is exactly why I'm posting, to raise awareness that their system is completely broken and not working properly at all

Your perceptions aside, you are at the top of your league and playing against players who are roughly equal to your own abilities. That seems to indicate that the system is working. The odds are that you're a Platinum player who sometimes plays like a Gold player, which is how you originally found yourself in the Gold League. You will, more than likely, remain in the Gold League for the duration of this season, but after the season is complete, you'll likely find yourself in the Platinum League.

There are mechanics in place to enable players to move from one league to the next. However, at a certain point, it is very unlikely that you will move in that fashion. That point occurs after roughly 30 - 50 games have been played. That being the case, it isn't likely that the OP will be moving out of the Gold League during the remainder of the season.
